I have a Sun room in my home, now in this room I have 2 couches, a TV, end table and lamp and a nice table and chairs. I also have a bookcase with DVD movies to watch. Now this room is like my Sanctuary, I retreat to this room in the evenings, I sit on the couch with TV on, I might do my handwork, read a book, do my Sudoku or just relax. If one of my daughters are here or a grandchild or great grandchild then they will join me and we will talk, have a project, watch a movie or just enjoy this time. My table is where I pay my bills, write letters or cards and also take care of my special projects...Yes this is my Sanctuary and I do enjoy this room.
Now I have some projects that I need to attend too. I'm not getting any younger but I am getting older and if I think about my age and the year we are now in, you might want to stop and think your time might be running out, so if you want to get these projects done before time does run out, you just might want to start now.
I've been thinking about a plan that might help me accomplish these projects. I know it's just a matter of getting organize, but before I organize my plan I have to own the projects.
1. Journal: I've been trying to keep a yearly journal for several years now. I buy journal books that
have 400 pages, I write my coming and goings, feelings and thoughts, plus I put in special mementos, I'm sorry to say sometimes days get passed me and them those pages are left blank.
2. Personal History: My Daughter Marta gave me a beautiful note book that she put together years ago that read "Reflections from our Mother's Heart" which had simple questions on decorated pages that when answered would tell my story and then last year at a Relief Society's evening meeting we took a quart canning jar with us, we had a program about writing your personal history and then we decorated this canning jar and filled it with simple questions on strips of paper. When they are answered I will add those pages to my daughter's book.
3. Blog Post Writings: My Daughter Marta started me writing on this blog, but I have to admit, sometimes life gets in the way and this goes by the wayside. I do like writing it, so it's a must.
4. Story Time With Mama: I became a caregiver to my mother when she was in her nineties and it was at this time I started to read to her. She wanted a record of the books we read so I compiled a list of these books along with her comments in a book for her remembrance. I still have a few entries that need to finish her second book.
5. Story Time With Me: As I enjoy reading I have a box of books in my Sun room that I have read and I would like to make me a record of these books and my feelings like I did with mama.
Now for my plan:
Each Day: I want to write in my journal, now I know some days this might not be possible, but I have a day planner and if I can't write in my journal I will write the highlights in the planner, so I will remember the day's activities when I do write.
Sunday: Personal History Book.
Monday: Blog Post.
Tuesday: My Story time.
Wednesday: Mama's Story Time.
Thursday: Blog Post.
Friday: Personal History Book.
Saturday: My Story Time.
Now this is my plan, I'm hoping this will work, but in reality you can say this is my goal, now a goal is not a goal unless it is written down. I now have it written so it is a goal, and I have a plan that can create success.
Today is the first day of this plan, the end results I'm hoping for is when this year is complete I can say, Well Done, I did it, it was more than just a Dream...

These are great goals Mama. I am working on similar ones. I use Sunday afternoons as my catchup day. I’ve been thinking about filling up a mason jar, I’ll get that together when I get home. Thank you for the boost. Love you. 💕💗
